To produce our IGP Val de Loire "Charme de Loire", we buy the must (unfermented grape juice) from Sauvignon Blanc grapes at harvest time and bring it back to Sancerre for vinification and bottling.
We work exclusively with three producers based in Saint Romain Sur Cher. Every year, the wine is sourced from them, ensuring consistent quality from one year to the next.
The wine comes from the Touraine AOC, but becomes IGP Val de Loire because we vinify it in Sancerre, outside its native area.
We have the same high quality standards, and vinify with the same care as our estate wines, following the classic vinification of a still white wine.
This wine is aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 4 to 6 months on its fine lees.
The typical, complex and elegant nose of white flowers and boxwood is slightly lemony. On the palate, there's a fine balance between nervousness, smoothness and aromatic power.
Served between 10 and 12°C, our IGP Val de Loire "Charme de Loire" is ideal with aperitifs, Asian cuisine, fish, shellfish or poultry.
